چکیده

Background : Comprehensive treatment of locally advanced cervical cancer (CC) requires the use informative diagnostic methods to assess tumor size, extent and other factors that determine prognosis disease. Purpose Determination opportunities multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) in visualization residual assessment main prognostic patients with stage IB2-IIB (FIGO) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT). Material Patients (n = 120) were prospectively enrolled study; they received NACT followed by surgical or chemoradiotherapy (CRT). underwent mpMRI before not later than 14 days 3rd course NACT. To mpMRI, MRI-data compared pathomorphological results. In comparative analysis included following factors: size (maximum diameter), depth stromal invasion (mm), presence parametrial invasion. Potential MRI-signs suggestive for lymphovascular (LVI) parametrium also assessed. Results Obtained about showed statistically significant correlation results study (p < 0.0001) — R 2 0.77 0.69, respectively. Difference value measuring maximum diameter was on average 2.52±6.76 mm. MRI sensitivity 71.4 %, specificity 95.1 accuracy 88.9 PVPR PVNR %. predictors significantly associated LVI identified: edema 0.001) dilatation vessels (> 3 mm) 0.015). According these developed a mathematical model, which predicts risk having surgery Conclusion Multiparametric is an effective technique assessing tumor, MpMRI makes it possible potential signs, cancer.

Prognostic risk model development and prospective validation among patients with cervical cancer stage IB2 to IIB submitted to neoadjuvant chemotherapy

This study was designed to develop a risk model for disease recurrence among cervical cancer patients who underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy and radical surgery. Data for 853 patients were obtained from a retrospective study and used to train the model, and then data for 447 patients from a prospective cohort study were employed to validate the model. The Cox regression model was used for calcu...

Magnetic resonance imaging in restaging rectal cancer after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy.

PURPOSE To evaluate the accuracy of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for restaging locally advanced nonmucinous rectal cancer after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (CRT). METHODS A total of 94 consecutive patients with histologically proven locally advanced middle or low located nonmucinous rectal adenocarcinoma, who were treated with preoperative CRT, followed by radical surgery 6-8 weeks late...

Correlation between magnetic resonance imaging and histopathological tumor response after neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer.

AIM To evaluate the accuracy of magnetic resonance imaging in assessing tumor response following neoadjuvant chemotherapy in patients with locally advanced breast cancer. MATERIALS AND METHODS Twenty-six patients entered a phase II study of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, undergoing bilateral breast magnetic resonance imaging before therapy and before surgery. Tumor response was classified using RE...

Prognostic value of preoperative multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for predicting biochemical recurrence after radical prostatectomy.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the suitability of preoperative multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) positivity as a predictor of biochemical recurrence after radical prostatectomy (RP). PATIENTS AND METHODS We reviewed the clinical records of patients who underwent either standard RP or laparoscopic RP between January 2005 and December 2009 at our institution. Patients who received radioth...
